News / Meeting with Armine Melkonyan, CEO of Sil Insurance

The last meeting of the series of sectoral meetings organized by the Armenian Insurers Union between the heads of insurance companies and the Executive Director of the Union, Tamara Habetyan, took place.

During the meeting, the main prerequisites necessary for the normal operation of insurance companies and the development of the system were discussed, including:

• the necessary measures for the insurance system to withstand systemic risks,
• the need to introduce certain mandatory insurance types in the Republic of Armenia,
• the directions for implementing educational reforms necessary for the insurance system.

As a summary of the meeting, the unique role of the Armenian Insurers Union in the development of the insurance sector as a structure generating and implementing new ideas was also emphasized.
