News / The challenges of the sector - the focus of the meeting between the directors of the AIU and Rego Insurance

Tamara Habetyan, Director of the Armenian Insurers Union, and Artur Mkrtchyan, CEO of Rego Insurance, met and discussed the challenges of the sector, touched upon important work directions and things to be done in the sector.

During the meeting, in particular:

• The vision of having a transparent and competitive insurance system was emphasized.
• Particular importance was given to the introduction of educational programs in the system in order to form a qualified human capital in the system. Educational programs include both cooperation with higher education institutions and the organization of professional training courses for employees.
• The development of the institute of intermediaries, including by increasing the professional relevance of agents. The role of intermediaries in terms of raising awareness about insurance among the public was also emphasized.
